US commerce department announced the initiation of new antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) probe to determine whether imports of stainless steel forged flanges from China are being dumped in the U.S. Markets, and whether flange manufacturers in China are receiving alleged unfair subsidies.
These investigations were initiated based on petitions filed by the Coalition of American Flange Producers,Core Pipe Products and Maass Flange Corporation. They are the major stainless steel flanges manufacturers in U.S.
If the Commerce Department determines that stainless steel flanges from China are being dumped into the U.S. market or receiving unfair government subsidies, and if the International Trade Commission (ITC) determines that dumped or unfairly subsidized U.S. imports of stainless steel flanges from China are causing injury to the America industry, the Commerce Department will impose duties on the stainless steel flanges.
Final determinations in these investigations are scheduled for January 2018 for the CVD investigations, and April 2018 for the AD investigations, but the dates may be extended if not finished. The data of the stainless steel flanges imports could be found in following link:
