In January this year, the Arctic Liquefied Natural Gas Phase II (ALNG 2) project, led by Novatek, a Russian independent energy company, experienced a turnaround after being suspended for eight months.
According to various sources, Novatek and its new design, engineering, and construction contractor representatives are currently gathering at major module shipyards in China to discuss restarting the construction of ALNG 2, which was suspended last April. It is reported that offshore shipbuilding enterprises with remaining ALNG 2 module workload have started or are preparing to start reconstruction work.
Haihao Group previously participated in the supply of the rotating flange part of the project and reached a consensus with customers on subsequent project cooperation. Currently, Haihao is actively preparing to supply the project again. The two parties conducted technical discussions on the application of pipe fittings in ultra-low temperature environments, and in-depth communication was conducted on the production materials, production processes, anti-corrosion measures, and other aspects of pipeline supporting products such as flanges, elbows, tees, and caps. In the future, Haihao will participate more in the supply of pipeline supporting products for the project.
